💬 “This sake was brewed to celebrate two of my favorite things, sake and the Olympics. Fun fact, I was actually a gymnast in my formative days (not a very good one at that) and I was always enamored with the Olympics. The idea of all the people of the world coming together for sport is such a noble concept and I loved watching all the drama, celebration, and heartbreak unfold. When I got into sake and then learned Japan was going to host the 2020 Olympics, I was ecstatic to combine my two favorite passions. I was going to travel to Japan and watch the Olympics live while drinking sake in the heartland and visiting sake breweries. My idea was to brew a commemorative sake that used a premodern sake yeast, giving it a historic taste profile for this historic event. It was destiny…
