💬 “If you have ever been to Japan you will know the experience of a Konbini (or convenience store). These places are the best, you can get all kinds of really delicious food and snacks, but also tons of drinks (boozy or otherwise) and Japan is known for its chu-hai’s. These are basically the OG of seltzers, except way better, often made with sake or shochu and bursting with fresh fruit flavor. It is always so amazing to grab a can or two of a good chuhai to enjoy on the walk home after a long day. So, when I returned home I knew that I wanted to create something that would fit perfectly on a Konbini shelf. Saiko was born from wanting that fresh yuzu flavor and a bubbly refreshing drink with a sake backbone. When I drink a Saiko, it reminds me of bar and restaurant hopping in Tokyo and Osaka. Grabbing a drink with friends as we cruise around the city.“
